A busy month with a lot happening . Tom attended the Irish Therapy Dogs meeting in Dublin and one of the speakers was Victoria Stilwell , a dog trainer who believes like us in building positive relationships with our dogs based on mutual trust , respect and love . This we have found particularly of use with the Leonberger breed , who have so much love to give and are often very sensitive to our feelings and emotions .Tom in his work with autistic children has found that the Leos are incredibly able to ‘ read ‘ children and know how to bring them on in their behaviour and speech . What a rewarding activity that benefits both human and canine too .
Later in the month was Crufts , and while we didnt attend , we were very happy that Zetas daddy Delboy ( Ch and Int Ch Leokings Premiere Attraction at Hillhaven ) took the 3rd place in a huge Open class .Sully and his son Otso were also both shortlisted
